For the first time in BARC ratings, Colors has overtaken Star Plus to take leadership position in the Hindi general entertainment channel (GEC) genre. As per BARC data for the week ended 28 August, Star Plus dropped marginally below Colors. While Colors garnered a viewership of 360494 thousand, Star Plus got 359509 thousand.
